IU is good in that there are endlees job opportunities once graduated. However, I have found that many of the professors seem to be very self-absorbed. I have had several teachers offer advice the wrong way on several projects leaving feelings of discouragement.

IU is definietly competitive; Social life is pretty sucky. Unless you're in a sorority or frat, good luck trying to meet people. The majority of the campus is snooty. People are just plain rude and stuckup. on a scale of 1 to 10; educational opportunities- 8, interviewing opportunities- 10, social life- 4, faculty- 5, campus- 9, parking- 1

When I first came looked at coming here I thought this place was the bomb. The women, the campus, the academics, it just all fit together. When I got here, however, I realized otherwise. I would say the social life here is the most disappointing aspect and is the reason I am seeking a transfer. All there is to do here is hit up the fraternities. Don't get me wrong, that's a whole lot of fun, but I actually wanted to do something different for a change and found out there was absolutely nothing. The surrounding town has nothing, absolutely nothing. It's just nice to have something else..It's like if you don't want to get smashed every night then there is nothing to do. If that's you, then this is your school. The academics have been pretty disappointing here as well. I came here expecting to be challenged and think CREATIVELY. I got just the opposite. It feels just like high school again where you're just memorizing stuff, cramming it for an exam. As for the women, well they're still hot. But you can find those at any school, there just happens to be an excess here. You will find your neck hurting here after a while. So bottom line, when deciding to come here, don't, unless you have the aforementioned social ideas. If I had to do over again I would have gone to saint louis, which consequently, is where I'm headed at the semester.
