I transferred from Holy Cross College to IUSB because they didn't have my degree. Now I wish I would have changed degrees rather than schools. My advising was terrible, I had a different one each year and one even forgot about our scheduled appointment. My degree never prepared me for my career, in fact, I'm not even in that career path right now. IUSB completely ruined my graduation experience by notifying me a month after graduation that I really did meet the qualifications (only after sending me one that said I didn't earlier in the spring). The neigborhood isn't the greatest and it's not their fault but they can step up security. The only time I ever saw them around is directing traffic during the first week of school when parking is a nightmare. Tuition is cheap but, please, spend more money elsewhere to get a more rewarding education.

This school is an utterly depressing and infuriating waste of valuable time and financial resources that no one has to spare. As an art major, the lack of creativity, understanding and intellectual involvement inherent in both the professors and students has nearly crushed my desire to create art. Do not go to this school, it is populated by ignorant peasants who can hardly read, let alone conceive of original ideas; in addition you will have credits and your money stolen. There is no exit.

Iusb Sucks. Don't go here. Liberals are everywhere. Not that there's anything wrong with that but when everyone at the school is in your face with their views it gets annoying. Teachers aren't that helpful. They'd rather have you email them than to have a conversation face to face. The students here are mostly returning adult students that don't know anything so the teachers have to slow down the lessons for them to understand it. I only chose this school because it was cheap. Don't go to a school just for it's price. You'll be unhappy and unmotivated. The school is in the ghetto so the apartments get robbed all the time and you can't leave the campus at night because it isn't safe. There is no social life because, like i said earlier, the students are all adults so they have nothing in common with college aged kids. There is always construction going on and the buildings are not in very good condition. I will be transferring next year i suggest you don't waste your time or money at this school. IUSB is a joke of a school. I've learned nothing here.
