I have enjoyed my time at IUSB. It is not a party school, and it doesn't focus on sports as much as it does education. If those are the things that you look for in a school, then IUSB isn't for you.

Nice upgraded campus, tigher security, Close to Notre Dame, and a great community. Tons of clubs, organizations and brand new On-Campus Housing. Academically, its challenging like all other IU campusus but more like a community college feeling. Very like Goshen College, and Valperasio University. Be selective when choosing courses. I would change unversities but I'm a senior. Politically, this campus has became extremely Liberal Bias from faculty, staff, and administration, more so because this campus is only a couple hours outside busy Chicago.

IUSB has grown tremendously over the years. Student housing offers a more traditional college experience despite the small size of the campus. The music and science programs are pretty good here. If you want to study Piano, this is a good option because of the Toradze studio. As for my major I feel the professors do what they can with the resources they are given. The university does not have a lot of impressive equipment you can use, but the availability of internships through the school is nice. FOX 28, WSBT, My Michiana TV, and WNIT all have worked with the school pretty well. This is one way you can get some more experience using actual equipment. The school is also beginning to remodel some buildings to make them more attractive/modern. I know being a small campus is their selling point, but I would like to see IUSB expand slightly. If you want a big campus and extremely vibrant social events go else where. If your concerned about a good education, with some really great faculty go here. The price is also really nice for what you are getting, even if you are out of state. I went to Bloomington and transfered here because I didnt like the large class sizes and I felt like it was just being pushed along. It is all about your learning style really. It is all the same academics and degree, just a different setting.
