Cruddy little school with no social life or campus life at all! If IPFW was a patient in a hospital, the heart monitor for social life would show little to no pulse at all. We all know that with little to no pulse, brain death will eventually take over. This seems to be the level of enthusiasm that the students and professors have for there specialist subjects. The professors do not like or care about students, they care about working up to being at the main campus at IU or Purdue. You do get what you pay for in life, you pay less and you get less! The campus does provide a good lecture series of individuals but this does not make up for much! Adult High School. If you want to save money on classes you need before you begin your core curriculum in your major then take an English class, mathematics class, speech class and a history here at IPFW to save money and then transfer yourself to a better school. I even had a class presentation on why you should choose another school over IPFW, (that was the groups idea) we got an A. Of course, there is also the lack of food options on campus (fast food only options here at IPFW). As if you need to put junk in your body after having your brain filled with rubbish all day. Diversity, no. I swear, there is more diversity in a bacteria petri-dish than at this place. "I Paid For What"? Indeed.

OK, first off I wil say that being able to go to smaller college and get a BIG name degree (Purdue), for less money is great. And not being a one color, uniform school, it's semi-diverse which is cool...... oh and the classrooms are spacious. . . . . . .

..yeah
That's about it. The people here do not belong in college, they are too immature and just bring the college air down wth them. In many instances, I feel almost as if I may become as dumb and pathetic as they are. I'm arrogant, yes. But, you go to college for a degree and be respected as an adult. Right? Not to be treated like you are in highschool!

In all of my classes, thus far, I feel as though my hand is being held in each of them. No individualism offered here! Everyone I have met, who are students, are way too in your business and nosey. It's annoying.

One big issue is that non of the prof's want to have anything to do with you after class is over.
If you attend this school, and are not narrowminded and want to go somewhere with your life, I'm sure you will see that it's a sad situation and the only thing to do is move on (and away) while you still have some hair left.

The experience I've had here as been pretty bad. I am looking at transfering before I become one of the pathetic low life's who live, work, and breathe here.

IPFW is a school of decent size, with plenty of opportunities for advancement. Not only can you obtain credits from IPFW towards a degree from either Purdue/Indiana Universities, you can attend neighboring technical colleges like Ivy Tech to get credits towards your degree. Freshman coming to IPFW fresh out of High School, have plenty opportunities to join various clubs and be an active student with intermural activities.

Each professor has different standards for their students and their involvement in obtaining their degree. However, it does happen where other students who apply effort to their degree goals run into quite a few students who want the professors to lower their expectations. The professors are trying to help the students by doing this, yet with those who apply effort are frustrated by this sort of teaching. Each department may have certain things that may frustrate some students, yet providing everyone with everything they want this second is not obtainable in any setting. Professors and advisors are approachable, there are tutors available for students who are struggling with their academics. Many professors have teachers assistants who are also available to help students that are finding the courses difficult. It is important for each student who may not be certain about what they want to do for their career meet with their advisors, and try to set up courses that allow them to explore their options without scattering their credits randomly. IPFW allows growth and development for their students no matter if they are new to college or returning students. IPFW also has basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, soccer teams for students to support after class times. There are also opportunities for students who do well in their own academics to assist other students who do not. So you see, IPFW may have things that each individual will have to judge for themselves. Each opion is just that an opinion. Take the time to visit the campus, meet with the faculty, talk to other current/graduate students to come to your own conclusions. It is your education so it is for you to control!
