Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I am attending this school currently for prerequisitesSuper BrilliantNursing
I am attending this school currently for prerequisites for the Nursing program. This is my 4th degree. I have a Bachelors, a Masters, and a PhD. I was switching careers and going into nursing and thus doing their Bachelor's to BSN Program. Every single person that works for this school, every single one, is condescending and very unhelpful. They think they are better than you and refuse to admit when they have made a mistake, and if you bring up problems to the higher levels of the school, they protect the teacher without fail, even when the teacher is completely wrong. I had one professor who it became very very clear she was not a subject matter expert and was working off of old information. She even admitted to not using the most current DSM in who private counseling work. I have taken tests that had upwards of 30 of the total 50 questions that an INCORRECT answer was listed as a correct answer and have had to email the instructor and line by line explain to them where in the book and lecture it talks about this, what the correct answer is, and why they were wrong. I have had to do this in every single class I have taken. I have seen 207 spelling or grammatical errors as a maximum on a 50 question multiple choice test, and these are supposed to be doctorate level people who are experts in their field. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL unless you want Catholicism thrown in your face, and you want to deal with professors who are quite literally morons. I know that I am smart, I get that, but I shouldn't be making a college professor look like a 5th grader.

Question
I thought I would be able to settleAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
I thought I would be able to settle into a campus oriented life. Everything I would need to be happy would be provided on campus. I was not able to experience this while at Marian.

Instead:
You must have a car.
Plan to go home on the weekend - most students do.
Get a job off campus.
Know that the surrounding area is not safe and that you cannot walk off campus.

Question
Marian did not liveQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Marian did not live up the my expectations. Faculty cancelled classes routinely and most assignments were meaningless busywork. Marian is a second tier university more geared to those who cannot get into their first choice schools...perhaps a good choice for those who struggled academically.
