I currently teach college. I think Rose did a great job with me as a person (I played inter-collegate sports, was a leader in APO and was an RA all things I would have found unlikely as a high school student!). It was also great educationally, but I felt my senior year was fairly weak and the amount and quality of academic advising I got was poorer than it should have been....Best advice: Work hard!

Going to school at Rose-Hulman will not be a cakewalk. It will be difficult. There will be little sleep sometimes. You will, however, have a very solid education. Definitely consider this school if you are interested in a science or engineering education. Aside from education, the campus itself is in a suburban setting with lots of nearby vegitation. My only real issue with the campus is that it is very conservative for a college campus. Although that may appeal to many people, it is rater disenheartening to someone (like myself) who was seeking a more progressive environment.
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: C
