Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I signed up for this school and whenQuite BrightPsychology
I signed up for this school and when they dispersed my financial aid they sent it to the wrong bank account. They tried to tell me that I entered the wrong account in the system but I had my confirmation email and had also taken a screen shot of what I put in. What they had done was dropped the last two numbers of my account. I called them every day for three weeks and due to this error I was unable to get books. So I unenrolled from school like the advisor told me to. Then I received a bill for $2800.00. I enrolled within the first week of class and there policy clearly says you would be refunded 100% of your tuition cost. So why are they billing me. I called them several times and received several different answers and was told the manager would get back with me. She never did I continued to call and wasn't getting anywhere. Then I sent several letters and did not receive a response. 6 months later I received an alert that something derogatory had been placed on my credit report. It was them. I have called several times and still can't get anywhere.

Question
I felt as if they were only acceptingQuite BrightSchool of Information
I felt as if they were only accepting me for the money they believed me to have (as a live in a very wealthy county, though my entire family scrapes by). I felt as though their tution is affordable, the only reason it is that way is because of all of the FINES they give for any accidental or minor infraction of the rules (I had to park in a parking space, because there is little to no space to park there, in which there was a 6"x3" sign saying I couldn't park there, the sign was covered by a, tree, and I had only been parked there for a few hours, when I came back I had already recieved 2 tickets and a warning, both tickets written for the next day and day after the next, when I had only been there for a few hours and had a witness to prove it). The cops, or at least a cop, around campus is dirty, tail-gating people pulling them over and writing tickets saying they were speeding by 15 miles over the speed limit when they weren't speeding... especially if there isn't anyone in the passenger seat to be a witness. The staff doesn't seem to actually care about the success of their students (on multiple occasions I found myself recieving looks from them making me feel as if they were judging me to be stupid and inferior). Overall, yes this university is cheap, but they'll end up taking your money one way or another... When I was told I had to spend the same amount of money to go there for 6 credit hours because of my academic probation, and turned them down because I didn't want to spend money on a school that didn't help me, I honestly felt as though I had just been robbed of my money... money I remind you I DON'T EVEN HAVE.

The school is all about drugs and sexual favors done by the chinese students to the teachers and professors. Fort Hays has a tie-up with some schools in China and most of them are given admission because of the amount of extra money they pay to Fort Hays. Registrar's office gives more emphasis to Chinese students with money that genuine deserving students with good grades. People don't even bother to reply back to emails sent by students who have good grades. 60% of the undergraduate student population is Chinese. Professors and teachers are not serious, never grade work on time and in a fairly manner and the school does not have any facilities.

The campus housing is the worst you'll find in Kansas. Hays itself is a small place with very less activity. Dorm rooms are outdated and maintenance is zero. Students find it very difficult to study due to constant fear of things breaking down. Dorm buildings can collapse anytime. The management is so conservative that its not bothered about student's safety or interests. Campus life is boring and carrer opportunities are nil. In fact people finishing a degree from this school find it impossible to get a job. Check US news college rankings site and put in Fort Hays. The graduation percentage is posted as NA. Its true because most never graduate. Money is taken and the student is delibrately failed by the teachers. Students are discriminated based on race and gender.

Night life is good. Students dont like the university but they love the nightlife. They are always there at all the clubs. Bad teachers and worthless staff like the financial assistance staff and the registrar should be changed completely. Waste of time. Students ease their stress by attending night life.

If you want to get in, be a chinese who wants to do sexual favors for the teachers and professors...you will be taken in immediately. The Registrar Mr. Linn is an idiot and so is the admissions department. Chinese with a GPA of 1.5 are taken without SAT, ACT and TOEFL scores whereas students from Michigan and other states are not taken even with a GPA of 3.25 and good SAT and ACT scores.

I got into the university because my GPA was 3.9 and my SAT was 1950 and ACT 30. They didn't have a thing to refuse me. But others please be aware of this. A sincere advice, go to any other university if you want a good career, good teaching and good professors with good grades..I'm just waiting to finish and get out. I can't get out now because i paid my tuition (entire 4 years) at one shot by taking a loan. Anyone can contact me if they need any true facts about Fort Hays..
