I had a lot of problems with the student life office, specifically Carla Jones (associate dean or some title like that). they were condescending and treated me horribly when I went in to talk to them.
Aside from the student life office, most everyone was good to great. I was involved in a lot of different things on campus. Everything from residence hall boards to honor societies. The residence hall staff was always awesome.
The College of Education had good advisers, but coursework was not challenging. None of the coursework was, no matter the department. I would not attend the school again. I was treated like a number by a lot of the staff and in some of my classes I was correcting the teacher because they were wrong. A fair amount of my teachers could speak little English. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Individual Value: F | | | |

| Average | KSU is a great place to be, the town is small and friendly, the community loves its wildcats and K-State students (they realize that we are the only thing that keeps the town going) classes are large as a freshman but get smaller the further along in school you get. Weekends are fun, aggieville is awesome, football tailgates, the works. Greek life has a middle ground, most people that are greek hang out with other greeks, I am in a fraternity and personally have few friends outside the greek system, it works both ways. Administration is awesome, always willing to help. Not a very diverse campus, for the most part the only minorities are athletes, I would like to see this improved upon, but it is in Kansas. Manhattan itself is isolated, nothing really around unless you drive to topeka. Fort Riley is not a big factor for students, you only see soldiers at the stores and bars, personally i have no problems with military people, but others do. My only knock is that their is not alot to do here outside of drinking, and people who do not drink find it difficult not to be bored out of their minds. If you are looking for a fun place, where the people are friendly, school spirit is second to none, the academics are fairly strong, and party atmosphere is a blast, look no further than Kansas State University! | Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Useful Schoolwork: B- | | | |

| Bright | Although I have nothing to compare it to, KSU has been good for me. The atmosphere is welcoming and the coursework is challenging enough to make you feel that you are really getting your moneys worth. Most of the faculty are engaging and well qualified. Although I sometimes wish I were some place more exciting than KS...there is plenty of fresh air and midwestern hospitality. | Useful Schoolwork: A+, University Resource Use: B- | | | |
