Attending NKU was the best possible choice I ever made. I never had a single issue with any office. Some staff were not always pleasant to deal with but that's life, some people have bad days.

The amount I learned in the classroom can only be rivaled by the amount I learned out, in student organizations. I would say some processes are easier if you care to educate yourself on processes. does tuition go up every year? Yep. But it is a state school that is going to happen. Do they build new buildings and change programs. Absolutely. But if you dont evolve the world will leave you behind. All these things for the most part have been paid for by grants and donations. If fees are going up for students, the student government association will vote on that. my advice is to get involved. The experience from NKU is something I will always cherish. You always get out of something what you put in. Do something more than go to class and I promise you will never want to leave. It is a magical place , it helped to transform me into a really great person that I am proud of and surprised by everyday!

As a freshman living on campus I've had a pretty good time at NKU so far. It can be boring sometimes, but if you look for something to do, you'll find it. Also, free bus access to Cincinnati is hard to resist. I'm glad I go here.

While going to NKU I worked a part-time job. I have not found a full-time job despite my efforts. And all the jobs listed on NKU's alumni job search site pay negligible salary. The NKU professors are good but they are discouraged. Many professors complained about the top-heavy administration. Policy and programs were constantly being changed. Overall the administration was unapproachable, you had to keep asking the same question until you found a helpful soul. Most of the professors were and still are part-time and they have little say in how they run their classes and grade their students. Students were given unimaginative textbook busy work. If you are a non-traditional student or other life situation, look elsewhere, stay away from NKU.
