| | I just started graduate school at NKU during Fall 2009. I came from a very large southern state college (around 4 times the size of NKU). Coming from experience, NKU has great database availability through the library. Their database can be somewhat difficult in that you cannot specifically use a particular source, but they offer various database companies. I wish they had computer labs (with printers) in every building like the typical, large universities have. For the most part, I believe you always have to go to the library to print something. I really appreciate that they have several people working at the writing lab, and you are able to book several appointments a week. The faculty in the Business department are very nice, concerned, and educated. They truly want to help achieve a students' potential. Mr. James Bast, the MBA director, has only been at NKU for a few months. He is very concerned with the students, and he makes a great effort into knowing each student. He is very knowledgeable with corporate America, and he is always concerned about his student's well-being. What I most appreciate about him is he believes that every person deserve a second chance and right to get a further education. Another one of my profession, Mr. Mahon, is very insightful and has great connections to executives. I think the staff truly wants the best for their students, and I really like that the teachers have had real job experiences besides teaching. Most of all, I really like the maintenance of their landscaping and the picturesque view of the ducks playing in the pond. | | Sep 24 2009 | Business - Management and Administration | | |
