Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Southern Seminary @ Boyce College is overall notBright
Southern Seminary @ Boyce College is overall not a bad school. The profs are quite friendly and godly and highly value the word of God. It is a very conservative campus and for the most part is quiet.

School Administration (Admissions and Especially Housing) is terrible. You will get your admission notice just days prior to the semester start and if you have a place to live that's amazing!

Complaints: The meal plan is ridiculous. If you want to eat you will effectively pay double for your meals which is just plain bad stewardship. If you want to eat cheap be prepared to eat their burgers and frenchfries everyday for lunch and dinner. There is a curfew for undergrad students. They preach about the importance of man-hood and yet treat them like children. The campus also has a total abstenance program for alcohol for the duration of your enrollment. More of an annoyance than anything, the school seeks to create an overall bubble that is just not real.

Finances: Undergrad you can expect no financial aid. Unless of course you need help having your wallet pryed open. They will bark at you when you get a student loan but then they will also hit you up for cash at every corner. Taking out loans to finance your education will actually hinder you if you plan to go onto the mission field and is a concept i've never understood. So with already little to no financial aid they decided to start a basketball team and hire a coach. Waste of money. I am pretty critical of the school in these areas, but if you can deal with them, then by all means it's a great school academically.
