I am appalled that this school is able to continue on!! I applied there in 2007 and began classes for the clinical asst program w/ phlebotomy. I agreed to the outrageous prices and signed my contracts, and so on. When I decided that I wanted to change my program to nursing I went to speak to an advisor (PAULA) and was told "nursing is a difficult program and you should finish this first and then see how you feel about the program". Well, funny thing is I was on the Dean's list and being asked do you even think you could handle this! I was outraged and decided I didn't want to attend a school that did not believe in me or any other student. When I dropped classes after 2 quarters I immediately repaid my student loans ($4,800) and noted all of me KEES money (1500) and Pell grant (3900) had been posted to my account with Spencerian. Surely, I couldn't owe them more. HA! I got a bill several months later stating I owed a little over $3,000 to Spencerian. When I called to get a reconciliation of charges they told me my money had been refunded to the student loan people and that some of my Pell grant was refunded. I called both to check on that and neither were returned. Spencerian says they were and although I had proof from SLP and the govt saying they weren't returned Spencerian still insists that I owe this! I have been fighting with Spencerian and their collections agency for 2 years now and cannot return to any reputable school because they are holding my transcripts hostage! I wish that I would have done more research before beginning this joke of a school! Be aware this school is full of liars and manipulators that are there to collect a paycheck with no other concern! You are seriously wasting every penny going to Spencerian because if I were an employer I wouldn't think twice about turning a Spencerian grad away!

I am currently still a student at spencerian college in the phlebotomy program. i went into this program because i wanted to do something in the medical field, and it would take 6 months. I liked that idea until i started my first quarter of classes and two of my teachers had never taught before and didnt know half of the stuff they were teaching. if you asked them a question they would say make a note of it and i will look that up. mrs. rock especially, she would read word for word right out of the chapter. if you asked her a question she would straight up tell you i dont know and keep reading. i dropped the class because i started to fail because she would give us study guides and would not go over them . so we were basically studying wrong answers... I am paying 10,000 to get a certificate for phlebotomy. but what is funny is that to become truley certified you have to pay an extra $100 to take the test to become certified. no one told me that.... the best advice for you is to not attend spencerian. they are a joke and scam you into spencding money at their school and trust me they will get every penny out of you they can.

Terrible "school"! I went through the LMR program and it was a joke. Financial aid screwed up my paperwork EVERY quarter, I had several classes transfer FOR credit in the LMR program but I was still charged for these classes that I didn't take AFTER they told me this would be deducted from my total payment. It's been two years and I'm still being houned for money after they told me I wouldn't be charged for these classes (right, Cheryl?)Paperwork is falsified to accomodate the schools ratings and pass rates...don't go....do your homework and looking into JCC
