I grew up in Kentucky and I wasBrightAerospace Engineering
I grew up in Kentucky and I was so excited to attend UK however when I got there I found out that the faculity, as well as the students, are not what I expected. The faculity are EXTREMELY unapproachable and sometimes turn you away. I got good grades but without the help of any of my professors. The school has many hidden fees and is constantly draining money out of college students. Overall It was a POOR POOR choice and I advise all others to look elsewhere...needless to say, transfering.

Question
This university is nothing like I expected.BrightNursing
This university is nothing like I expected. I thought it would be a very welcoming community. Coming from just one state above you would not think so many things would be different. IF YOU ARE NOT IN GREEK LIFE YOU DO NOT EXIST. no one will want to be your friend. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. You will get made fun of for taking things seriously. The cost is way too expensive, it's for the university to build their new dorms (which you will not be living in) with your tuition money and for you to learn off YOUTUBE.

Question
If you are in the military I wouldAverageUndecided
If you are in the military I would highly advise you continue your search in a university. They are very uncaring about soldiers and availability or soldiers. I am currently deployed and I was trying to get admitted and classes scheduled for the upcoming semester. My process was halted when I was informed that you had to go to an advising meeting before scheduling classes which is fine, but when I told them I was deployed and I may not be home until after the semester started they said "oh well looks like you wont be able to come here next semester but we can move your admission to the right for the spring semester." I just said no thanks and hung up. Also it was hard getting in contact with the people on their listed phone numbers from their website. You will almost always get transferred to someone else and have to re-explain your whole situation again. But other than that seems easy to get in :).... Note the sarcasm.
