Not so bright
I agree with everything positive said before myself, but just as a piece of advice, do not base your decision on where to attend college solely upon this site. Actually visit the college and see what it is all about. Overall I am enjoying my experience, and I also advise you to keep an open mind.

U of L is an awesome place to go to school, if you make the most of it. Although the academics are not the best in the world, if you work in your classes and do the best that you can to succeed it WILL happen. Teachers will help you if you ask. Although I have not completed my time at the University, I know that success can be achieved here. My sister attended the University and later went on the U of L's medical school. She is very successful and appreciated her time there. (U of L has an awesome med school) Overall, the education you will receive at U of L is worth the money you pay, and if you put in that extra effort it will pay off. Also, it is a GREAT city! There are so many unique things about Louisville, and Derby time is awesome. Louisville has so many things to offer, you will never run out of things to do. Although Greek life is present, not many people join, but as I said in Louisville there is never a dull moment. Also, to make another thing clear, most people here are not close-minded! Don't judge people right off the bat because of the way they speak or dress (as you should do everywhere), and also know there are SO many cool people there. If you come to U of L, like any college, you will get out of it what you put into it. I recommend this University.

Quite Bright
The University of Louisville may not be the most academically challenging university, and it does not claim to be so, but the city of Louisville and the community at this University provide an environment that makes students feel comfortable. Although some students are close-minded, one will find these types at any school throughout the country, and it is easy to find chill people here. Many of my friends are interested in the arts, and also from the neighboring Bellarmine University there are even more different types of people. I have found many people whose company I enjoy. Kentucky is typically seen as a racist, white trash, backwards sort of place, but being from here I know this is not true. There are many different types of people here, not just the stereotypical hick. We wear shoes. My friends and I are not racist!! Once again, Louisville as a city has much to offer for all varying interests. From the Highlands, to St. Matthews, to Downtown, there are too many attractions to list. My favorite place to hang out is Bardstown Road, which is a street lined with many interesting shops and restaurants unique to the city. If one gets to know the actual city of Louisville, he or she will find that it is quite and interesting, open-minded, and welcoming place with many eccentric little quirks. I am very happy to go to school here and live in this wonderful, incomparable place.
