This school was a complete waste of time and money and, fours years later, count coming to this school and staying here one of the biggest and costliest mistakes of my life. I only stayed because of my parents. Otherwise I would have left after the first year, happily.

The kids here could really care less about anything at all. They dont care at all about anything from academics to the way they look. Social life is centered around "Greek Life" which is little more than paying a fee to wear a shirt around campus. The positive aspect of this geek system is that kids that couldnt join greek organizations at other school can join it here because for a fee everyone is welcome. The academics are far from challenging and the student body is far from good looking. Mostly comprised of those kids that didnt quite fit in in high school. Given a second chance i would never consider this school.

I went to Loyola for a year and was miserable. There was not a single thing to do but drink, and that got old very fast. The university did nothing to support student life, in fact, they encouraged their students to go and drink. This is not a good school to meet people at. Many are locals from Lousiana and tend to stick to their own. Many students loved the school, but I also knew an equal number who disliked it and ended up transferring like me. Think hard before you come here, and really try to get a feel for the atmosphere first.
