Sort By: [Date] [Major] [Rating] PreMed and Medical  Major Salary, Salary Trend, Satisfaction, Unemployment The biology, chemistry and microbiology courses at NSU made me very well prepared for medical school. I graduated in the top 5% of my med school class. The school has no reputation outside Louisiana, but the price was right and I don't think I would have been better prepared for med school had I attended college elsewhere. There is not much to do in Natchitoches, but the town is beautiful. There is a nice lake and a river if you enjoy fishing or water skiing. Sports are pretty good. The quality of the teams varies greatly from year to year, but a fair percentage of the student body supports the demons. Preparedness: -, Reputation: - Have a Question? The quality of instruction and coursework was exceptional. The only negative about Northwestern State was the small town atmosphere and the limited amount of things to do outside of school in that area. Everyone is friendly and the campus/city are charming. You might have to be creative to find something to do on the weekends, but during the week there are numerous activities to participate in. The faculty is helpful and truly wants to help you achieve. Education Quality: A+, Collaboration/Competitive: A- Have a Question?
