When considering BC at a purely academic level, the school absolutely excels. The faculty is very knowledgable and many make an attempt to connect to their students, even in lecture courses. Like an college, you must pick your teachers and courses well or you'll wind up having a terrible experience. Thankfully, BC gives you ample time to research with courses to take and which teachers to avoid like the plague. At an administration level, some of the dean's are incredibly unfriendly, don't want to help you, and act as if meeting with you is a chore, while others are amazingly helpful. The social aspect of the college is where BC falls flat on its face. On campus, there is a huge popped-collar wearing, wristband wearing, pink shirt loving ultra preppy group. Most people are friendly, but completely obnoxious and arrogant. Once you've gone to one BC apartment party, you've been to all of them. Way too many sweaty prepped out guys packed into a small apartment all waiting in line for beer. Its a shame, they all think theyre having the time of their life. If you come here, avoid these parties at all costs. Another thing about the girls here; they really aren't that good looking despite what you may have heard.

Wow, did I ever screw up. I am a transfer after spending two years at Boston Univerity's School of Management. The education at BU is LIGHT YEARS ahead of BC. The fact that national publications consider the schools similar academically blows my mind. As a Junior at BC last year, I was so far ahead of the other students, I was dragged down. Don't get me wrong, BC is not all bad. BC is more fun than BU. Most BU kids don't drink and they are WAY too serious about their studies. BC is about drinking and sports. BU is all business and academics. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have chosen either school, but to leave BU after two years will cost me dearly over the years. Ironically, another HUGE advantage BU has over BC is its campus. I grew up in Boston and everyone always raved about BC's campus. You're stuck in freakin' Newton, man. And you see all those trees in the brochure-THEY DON'T EXIST! BC's campus is just buildings and parking lots. Want to see trees? Try walking down Bay State Road at BU where most students live. Bay State Road, which backs up to the Charles River and the Esplinade, may be the most attractive urban street in the US. BU has a pulse. And BU has a hockey team that actually wins Beanpots and NCAA Championships.

If you want a business degree and go to school in Boston consider 1-Babson 2-BU 3- Bentley (no shit) 4-BC.... Also, consider NU...I just spoke to a headhunter who told me NU grads are in great demand...just after Babson and BU.Hope this helps!

BC is a Junior College with a bunch of snooty kids. It is only about sports and drinking. After finishing here, you need to go somewhere else to get a college education. If you have dark hair and are intelligent, you would not fit in. I am sorry that I came here. I will be going to Tulane University as a transfer student in a month.
