I'm about to graduate this spring and the only thing I can take out of my experience here is the one semester I spent abroad in Australia. Otherwise I think I would have killed myself if I had to stay any longer at Bentley. The campus is way too small and you're basically like a hamster in a cage going to his "stations" every single day. There is no wiggle room here. You literally pass by the same people everyday in the dining hall, on the way to class, or at the gym. And the funny thing is, most people don't even say hi to each other as they pass by because they're so sick of seeing one anotehr! Besides this I'm also still unemployed. I will probably go back to western Mass and work for my dad's chinese restaurant. That is what a Bentley econ degree will get you. Don't come here.

people keep raving about their accounting program but i dont understand why. my major is accounting and i have taken all the accounting courses one can possibly take. i will say for the record that i received a better education during my two years at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE than at bentley.

that is quite sad for a school i pay $45,000 to go to. my accounting professor at the CC was tons better than any i have met here. we would actually take the time to thoroughly go through problems and make sure we understood.

here at bentley teachers simply talk through problems without actually writing anything on the board. they have this sense "oh you should know this already so im not gonna take my time to really go over it" even when half the students in class dont have an idea about the concept.poor, poor educational quality. no wonder why bentley has not made a name for itself outside of massachusetts.

if i had to do the college application process all over again, bentley would not even be included on the original list. the only reason why i applied and went to bentley was because of their famed "trading room", as i wanted to concentrate in finance and eventually start a career on wall street.

first and foremost, bentley has no name outside of new england. investment banks looking to hire for summer internships and full-time positions will only look at target schools - ivies, MIT, stanford, carnegie mellon, nyu, maybe even BU and Babson. Employers will literally tell you during the interview, "Well my boss drives a Bentley but I've never heard of the school." if you are looking for a career in anything but accounting, do not come here, you will pay for it in the form of something called unemployment.

i only suggest people come here for the accounting program, as many regional firms recruit from bentley. however, job placement for other majors, even finance, is quite horrid. for all the glory of bentley's trading room, finance majors will be able to select job opportunities from Penske (the truck rental company) and Swiss Finance Academy (which actually happens to be a scam but is still listed on bentley's recruiting website).

social life here is quite horrible. it can be summed up in one sentence: white kids playing beer pong in their tiny dorm room every single weekend. How many times can you play beer pong without getting bored?

the intellecual level of the student body is low, as there is no room for people with any sort of creativity. this is strictly a conformist school. that means if you are anything but an upper-middle class white kid from new england or new york, you will not fit in.last but not least, bentley has an outrageous $4400 meal plan that every freshman is required to be on. for that type of money i expect close to 5-star dining. instead we are treated to hot dogs laying in platters full of grease, severely undercooked rice/potatoes, and other dishes that would be unfitting of even an ethiopian.
