I graduated in May with a double concentration in finance and marketing. Coming from a top tier high school with good grades, Boston University was originally my "safety," yet I look back with pride and satisfaction on what I got out of it! I have no major complaints about the School of Management - the curriculum is challenging, students are bright, and even the building is the nice. The curriculum is very team-oriented - it truly transformed me into a better team member. However, I can't speak for the other majors or schools at BU. I've had some really good (anthropology & psychology) and really bad classes (philosophy 101) in the School of Arts.

Advice: If you DON'T like to work with people, the School of Management is not for you.

THE SCHOOL OF THEATER IS TERRIBLE AND ALL THEY DO IS RUN AROUND NAKED AND SCREAM ALL DAY LONG. It is a disgrace to theater and humanity and I am disgusted and disappointed.

BU is a great school if your going to come here learn a few things graduate and move straight onto your career. If you have any plans of going to graduate school, however, this is not the place for you. I know it seems like the students here tend to bitch and moan a lot, but GRADE DEFLATION is real. My best friend had a 91 average in an astronomy class and her teacher told her that would translate to a C+ on her transcript. I went with her to her advisors office and his solution was to "drop the class". The administration doesn't give a damn about its students. Another one of my friends was told "if you don't like it, transfer", and I personally have had problems with housing, advising, and financial aid on numerous occasions. The institution only cares about money and nothing else. Honestly, coming to this school was the worst decision of my life. I love the friends I have made here and the social life is amazing but if presented with a choice now... I would have rather gone to community college.
