I was very pleased with the education delivered in the School of Management. My classmates were diverse, the faculty was excellent, the city was amazing, and the social/entertainment opportunities vast. It was a bit pricey (relative to other top notch schools) but I believe it was the perfect place for me.

I am planning a course of study in art history. I was very pleased to see that the students are really interested in the course of study and have a passion for it. When I went to a open house on campus, the student were dressed in historical costumes. I was impressed that they had gone out of their way to dress. Some of the costumes were excellent. I felt even better when some of the better or best costumes were rented from my home town of Providence, R.I. and were rented from my favorite store called ,
'Bruna Puppets and Costumes' . My mom used to buy puppets and costumes when I was a kid.
I knew that BU was going to be my school.

There are a lot of parallels between my studies at BU and my experiences in the workforce. 1. You're responsible for constantly learning challenging and new material and for getting your assignments done. 2. You have to be able to deal with a diverse group of people - both in culture and personality. 3. Both environments are competitive. 4. Both environments require working in teams/groups. 5. Change (for the better) is constant. 6. Living on BU's campus for 4 years made me feel more like an adult by being able to live in beautiful brownstones on Bay State Road and having an urban feel. I also think you get the best of both worlds at BU (both an urban and a campusy feel) since the campus runs along the Charles River and consists exclusively of BU buildings for about 1-1/2 miles. BU has much more of a campusy feel than NYU, for example.

One thing I wish the business curriculum had incorporated when I attended is an emphasis on the importance of mathematical modeling in the business decision process. Credit decisioning is based on complex mathematical models that were never covered. When registering, students are looking to see what they can waive due to AP courses taken in high school; instead, faculty should proactively advise students of technical courses that they should be taking rather than waiving.

I loved BU. It is big enough that you don't feel like everyone knows you and it gets boring, but you also meet tons of different people. The professors are excellent and they have tons of resources. Getting a job was easy because a lot of places I went for an interview they knew my professors. The people are great and the parties are not bad.
