B
OSTON Graduate School of Psychoanalysis offers graduate level studies leading to the Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis, the Certificate in Psychoanalysis, the clinical doctorate in psychoanalysis and an interdisciplinary doctorate in the study of violence.  Our psychoanalytic programs emphasize the development of oneself as a therapeutic personality as well as academic learning and clinical training.  Students engage in an externship at the Master's level, and both an externship and internship in the Certificate and doctoral programs.  An additional elective module of courses may be taken by students interested in qualifying for the Mental Health Counseling licensure exam.  The post-master's doctoral program in the study of violence integrates three disciplinary perspectives in coursework and conducting research on violence in all of its aspects.  BGSP has a diverse and vibrant student body from many backgrounds interested in learning about unconscious motivation and how it operates in themselves, the individuals and groups they work with, and society in general.
