this school is full of some of the most horrible people. privileged rich white students abound. if you like people who legitimately think reverse racism is a real thing and treat their black/latino maintenance workers like shit, emerson is the place for you. i'm transferring because i'm sick of being told i'm "like, not even latina because you act so white!" i also feel like the only lower middle class person in this entire school. if you want people who base their liberal standing off of more than being accepting of the LGBTQ community (which is wonderful, but kind of sucks when you're saying the n word in the same breath) do not go here. also, if you don't have piles of money laying around (which everyone here seems to have) and you're bound to scholarships, trust me, this will be a waste of your time. emerson is known so well for their extracurriculars, which admittedly are spectacular. their classes are subpar, which those of us who are hanging onto scholarships need to focus on. go somewhere that will give you more bang for your buck, and less horrible people.

stay away from this school. You will hate it when you join. Everything about this school annoys me. I cant stand being there. Sometimes I wish this school never exist. The professors do not teach much.. You have to teach yourselves everything!!!. They are not at all smart, or educated so they take it out on the students, by over working them. The administers here are down right rude and don't care whether you dropout or fail. They are all narrow minded! they do not care for the students. In fact the students are just another number in there eyes. They also give you the wrong information. Which cases you to waste money and time.Or even taking the wrong classes.!!!!!! students are pretty much anti-social. And look at you as if you are from a foreign country. Students are scared to talk to one another beheaving in a rude manner.Forget about classmates they don't communicate with you, so if you have a group assignment ,you will not get that done! its a pretty old school, kind of resembles a jail. Its a big school for no reason at all, there is no events for students!!!! every event that is host at the school is mainly for the faculty!!! an I mean faculty (only)! and if you try to get involved you will just get shut-down!

The Emerson housing system is unacceptable. This past year, after informing us 3rd years would be required to live on-campus, the school a month later kicked half of us off and has left us to fend for ourselves. The Little Building needs renovations and the 3 newer buildings are clean but stuffy (similar to a funky upscale hotel, if you're into that sort of thing). Most faculty are friendly and approachable but I can't say the same for student services. Almost all student services are the opposite of what they claim to be. A lot of students are hostile and cold because of being fed up about not getting assisted with certain things. Areas that need improvement and friendlier/more helpful employees: mail services, student services, off-campus student services, print and copy center. As for the dining hall: the staff are the friendliest people you'll meet, the food is terrible and the same every. single. day. Just a warning.
