A waste of 2.Computer Science
A waste of 2.5 years of my life. The CIS program is a joke. Java, Visual Basic, Website programming, these things are useless if you do not master them. Networking classes taught me nothing about actually connecting one computer to another. E-commerce was a fancy title for a class teaching you how to use Facebook and YouTube.

As far as the social side, unless you live in Greenfield, it doesn't exist. When you have an hour commute followed by 6 hours of classes you dont really feel like hanging out on campus. So if you've got 2-3 years and $22,000 to throw away on a piece of paper that no one cares about. Go for it.

Question
The nursing program at this college is farQuite BrightNursing
The nursing program at this college is far too small. Be warned that UMASS will NOT accept transfers into their Nursing program; you must have your ADN/RN first. This will be nearly impossible at GCC since there are only 150 nursing slots each year. Unless you plan on sitting on your butt waiting for a slot and taking classes just to fill time, your best bet is to start at UMASS as a freshman in their Nursing program. Also? The "Associates Degree in Nursing" is actually a three year program. Skip the BS and go to UMASS for the BSN...most Massachusetts healthcare facilities won't consider ADNs for hire.

Question
I'm very happy I went to GCC.Quite BrightSociology
I'm very happy I went to GCC. The teachers are unbelievably friendly. The campus is pretty darn nice after the renovation. Gotta love the duck pond. The food's pretty good too for a Community College post- renovation. Lots of nice people. It's true though, there's not a lot of extra things going on, but you can make a club if you want too. It's pretty easy.
