Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Looking only at the academic side of things,AverageDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
Looking only at the academic side of things, it was not at all what I had expected it to be. Much of my experience was negative. The program did not offer much more than basic introductory level classes in a wide variety of topics that loosely relate to animation, which does not provide for in depth study and truly becoming skilled. There were also classes each year dedicated to a large project, over the course of 1 or 2 semesters depending on the class. As a transfer I did not do 4 projects, I did three, and for the most part I truly feel like 2 of them were huge wastes of time because they did not TEACH anything. They were more of a way to Evaluate what you learned. But as I said before, I was unable to gain an in depth understanding in the subject because of the way the program was structured, with basic introduction to the topic. Few of the professors I had in my major were truly engaging, or knowledgeable enough to teach the classes they were teaching. I have also had a terrible time with the Internship coordination on the end of the school, involving people not replying to my emails and miscommunications. The University has truly been the most frustrating experience I can remember.

Question
It's a very 'okay' school.Not so brightPsychology
It's a very 'okay' school. I would give it a C+ grade, mostly because of the environment and social life. If you are a commuter who does not live near Lesley, it is VERY difficult to socialize with people outside of class. Literally all the student activities are on the same day and time. All the clubs meet at 8pm, and if you have class that ends at 12pm, it makes absolutely no sense to wait for hours just to be part of a club. So, the students are very clicky and not as friendly. Also, the classes are super packed!!! One of the reasons why I transferred to Lesley from a community college was because I wanted to be in small sized classes, but all the classes I have had are crammed. The classroom sizes are very small and students will be tightly sitting next to each other, with no personal space. The facilities are pretty gross. Most classrooms are old and falling apart. Especially the bathrooms are super gross. The food is also disgusting. Even their healthy foods, like vegan and vegetarian dishes, are poorly made and entirely flavorless. However, if you are just looking to get a degree here (and don't actually care too much about socializing and the nasty facilities), then it is worth it to come here if you want to major in education, art, or the human services degrees such as psychology, counseling, art therapy, etc... The professors are, as a whole, pretty good. They are happy to help students and are approachable. The thing I like about Lesley is that they have a great internship program that they help you apply for, and they also have the career resource center with staff that helps the students write resumes and cover letters when applying for job. So, that's about it.

Question
The administration is rude and not very caringBrightFine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
The administration is rude and not very caring even though they say they do. All they care about is the money. I have had some great art professors and other professors but I have some bad ones including a racist one. The food is terrible and I have known a number of students get sick from it. The shuttles between campuses are often late and don't show. They are so undependable. They are moving the art building for the spring semester 2015 and guess what 2 daus before classes the building is not ready. Was notified by email today that printmaking classes will be housed in the town Somerville further away. The classes will be therected until at least March! No shuttle to that location. I wonder if they are going to prorated our tuition. None of the art labs or rooms will be ready but still charged 20,000 for semester! This school is a disaster!
