MCPHS is a good school. Upsides are the quality of facilities and programs, downsides are extremely limited parking and having a small campus.

If I had seen this web site BEFORE I came here it probably wouldn't have changed my mind. I would have taken it all with a grain of salt. But believe me the others are not lying...I expected it to be hard, VERY HARD, but for a reason, learning in an accelerated program. Not just to be buried under useless work. A very few of the instructors will go the extra mile to help you, but they are rare. Most are hard to find outside of lecture.Think twice, if you are self motivated and can learn on your own, it might be worth the outrageous sum of money they charge.

First off, I must speak from the point of view of a Nursing Student. This is an accelerated program. It is fast paced and hard. Where most colleges would baby you into starting off with 4 classes a semester then gradually working you up; no such luck here. You are going to want to REALLY be educated.

The staff are all very knowledgeable and most of them hold a PhD. But the work load is intenseeeeee. Also be aware that it is a smalll school. 2200 undergrad at best. An all of them live off campus. If you choose to live on campus, which is to say in the one building that IS MCPHS, then you will go crazy. There is nothing to do and everyone is international and anti-social. Everyone pretty much just holes themselves up in their room and studies. Becuase you have to in order to make the grades.

I came here thinking that the school would be in the city and I would have time to explore. But I really have no time to leave the school because I have to keep up on my school work. I know of no one who is trully in love with the school. If you go here, go here for the education ONLY. Do not. i repeat DO NOT come here for the typical college experience. Also... good luck trying to establish a sense of "home" at this place. There is no "home" feeling. It's cold. Industrial. The place is strictly a bussiness. They over charge you on eveyrhting. take you your money and throw you into the wild. No one holds your hand here. It's all fend for yourself.

I'm transferring out because I'm looking to slow things down a bit. I don't want to do 3 years or take classes over the summer. I want to go to a college where I can have a settled group of close friends and a nice campus with a lot of pride. Oh, yeah... not a lot of pride here either.

Lastly, the security. The school treats you like you were 5. There are signs everywhere that say "is it worth it??? one drink off campus, one party off campus, one fight off campus= no career. YOU DO THE MATH!" .... seriously, now? You have to be joking right?? like.. that's a.. that's a joke, right? No.. they're not joking. It really is like high school. Mass College of Pharmacy High School... i mean health sciences. It's really small. And it's ONE BUILDING!!! you go crazy here. And you have to wear this stupid lanyard with your student ID on it at all times. So.. it's worse than high school.

I'm getting out of here. Going soem place more welcoming, more relaxed. A place I can have a little fun and actually have time to learn. It's too intense so i forget everything I'm "learning" and just barely pass the tests. And there aren't any clubs you can join.

They advertise the "colleges of the fenway". It's all a hoax.
