The college itself is a great place. It's pretty, great professors, pretty friendly people... however, there is nothing to do especially on the weekends. You can either study or party at Umass, basically. South Hadley is a small town, if you can even call it a town, and nothing is open past 8. The bus system is horrible, it takes an hour just to get to Umass. So you're pretty much stuck here. Lots of people leave on the weekends. If I wasn't able to go home every other weekend I'd be depressed. I am transferring soon. For some people Mt Holyoke is great, but if you want a place where you want a social life, don't go here.

I am transferring to a large University at the begining of next semester. This school is very bizarre. The ratio of genuine gay women and LUGS and Bugs is 70% to 80% of the entire student body. If I had known that I never would have come here. No guys come to the campus because they know it is an all lesbian campus. I have had to make a great effort to meet guys and have a fun social life. it is a schlep to have to travel to Amhurst and U Mass but there is no other option other than to become a LUG. I have been successful here academically and when preparing to tranfer all of my professors understood exactly why I would choose to leave. They know how strange and far from main stream this school is. It is not for anyone who is used to a fun social life with lots of both male and female friends. Even the straight women here are odd. I am counting the days!

Super Brilliant
Mount Holyoke College is one of the worse college that I have encountered in my life. people say the campus is beatiful but is is disgusting. This campus is design for people who love nature and a rural oasis. There is nothing fun to do in this campus besides doing worik. There are a lot of weird and competitive people that you grow to hate. The teachers are great and friendly. This is the worse experience of my whole life. Do not come here if you have not seen this ugly campus that has nothing to offer.
