OUNT Holyoke, founded in 1837, is a private, liberal arts college for women.  Its 800-acre campus, including numerous 19th-century buildings, is located in South Hadley, 10 miles north of Springfield.

One of the nation's finest liberal arts institutions, Mount Holyoke College is a highly selective, nondenominational, residential college for women enrolling 2,100 students from all 50 United States and more than 75 countries.  Located in South Hadley, Massachusetts—in one of the most culturally and intellectually vibrant regions of the country—Mount Holyoke was the first of the Seven Sisters, the female equivalent of the formerly all-male Ivy League.

Mount Holyoke is recognized worldwide for its rigorous academic program, its diverse global community, its legacy of women leaders, and its commitment to educating students who make a difference in the world.
