I regret coming to this school.English
I regret coming to this school. If I were to go back in time and re-choose, I would pick URI.
This school is for business majors, despite offering a liberal arts program and no matter what they say. Almost all of what I was told when I transferred here junior year were blatant mistruths.

This is a school for students who perform at a mediocre level -- which is absolutely fine, but not what I had hoped for. And when you perform more than mediocre, you will never be acknowledged. I am very bitter that Nichols College cared more about a Division III football team ranked dead last in the nation than the graduates who managed to get into some extremely well known grad programs. There were only two or three of us, but this was completely ignored. The college offers a liberal arts program at about 50%. Do not come here if you are intending a liberal arts major and/or a serious student. This is a school for mediocrity.

I was ill prepared in academic writing. I was ill prepared for grad school as a whole.
I went into the education field at a small private school and am very happy with my job, but the college had nothing to do with this. I publish stories regularly and the college had nothing to do with this, either. If asked, I mention my grad school and skim over Nichols as my undergraduate. I cannot recommend Nichols College.

Very disappointed in someAverage
Very disappointed in some aspects. The education for the most part is phenomenal, excellent connections and also good faculty resources/very knowledgeable faculty. Social life is a complete joke, your in the middle of nowhere and also the school is a dude fest so good luck trying to get laid.

Love Nichols College.Quite BrightUndecided
Love Nichols College. Some people HATED it because they didn't know how to make their own fun. It's true; there is not much nearby. You want to go places? Bring your car. Freshman can have cars on campus and parking isn't too difficult. There's Auburn Mall and Blackstone Mall nearby, as well as some restaurants. You'll have to drive 20-25 mins though. The dorms are so nice, especially Shamie (the primarily freshman dorm). In Shamie, you have your own bathroom with shower that you share between you and one or two other people. Nichols focuses on getting you ready for the real world. You have to take a PDS (professional development seminar) course every year that teaches you things such as time management, networking, resume building, interviewing skills and other skills necessary for landing a job out of school. The sports programs are really strong....except for football. Hockey is reallly popular here. People love going to the games. The course load isnt too tough...however, it gets harder as you go.
