Salem State University has been overall a greatNot so brightBiology
Salem State University has been overall a great experience. The classes are small, the professors genuinely care about student success and the workload is manageable (even in the Honors Program). Salem itself is a one of a kind city with it's unique history and the experience of being there in the fall is one that won't be forgotten. The library and dorms are fantastic and brand new (aside from freshmen dorms).

There are, of course, negative aspects of the school: not a big party school, not many research opportunities for undergraduate students, some facilities are lacking, and the campus itself isn't the prettiest. However, the school is improving by the year and I see it's rank climbing in the near future. College is what you make of it, and SSU can get you a cheap but quality education and a fun couple of years!

The school is turning around and expanding.Quite BrightGeography and Geosciences
The school is turning around and expanding. Freshman a live together so it is easy to make friends and meet people. A lot of programs are going on if you pay attention to bulletin boards or social media. I liked all my professors and they were always around to talk. More students stay on weekends and there are things to do, but often times you need to know certain people to get in.

Honors program challenges people which was nice. Not all classes are hard, but do require studying. Tutoring is avaliable and the new library is awesome!Every school will have problems with administration and food so Salem is one of them. But for the price I think it is worth it. School has many opportunities if you look for them!

I am a communications major and I neverBrightCommunications
I am a communications major and I never new I could write a review about SSU. Honestly the school as a whole is great. I have made great friends and I love all of my professors. They are extremely helpful and intelligent. The city is beautiful and I love being able to jog through the parks. My dorm now is amazing! It was just built and I love staying there. It is clean and fun to watch TV in the family rooms with everyone on your floor. Freshman year can be tough, it was hard to figure out where the parties were and who you wanted to associate yourself with. I can't wait until they open the new library, obviously right now the campus is a little chaotic with the new construction, but never the less they are establishing a great feel.

I am all for Salem State . I think it was the best decision I made. Not only can you call your professors on their cell phones to ask questions but the class sizes are small enough that it makes learning enjoyable and you feel connected to your teachers.

I would recommend anyone to Salem State University. Best State College.
