 | Bright | I am from a small town in Massachusetts and would come to Boston during the weekends with my friends. I loved the idea of living in Boston and being able to take the T everywhere, go on adventures and being able to just experience city life. I am a very bubbly person and was excited to make new friends as well. So when it came time to choose schools, I got accepted to 9 schools and chose Suffolk as my first choice. Worst decision of my life. My first semester is almost over and I can honestly say I have never been more unhappy. The people here are the most judgmental people I have ever met. If you don't like you roommate or suite mates, you're screwed. If you don't make friends your first two weeks, you're screwed. After the first two weeks everyone had already had already found friends. I attempted to make friends since I am a very down to earth and friendly person but that didn't work since everyone had already found their friends. For the past three months I've been stuck hanging out with two girls who I really don't like. They are snobby and judgmental. If you want to feel part of a community and meet a lot of people then suffolk is not for you. If you are down to earth and want to meet relaxed and friendly people, then suffolk is definitely not for you. I can honestly say I've only met a few people here who aren't arrogant and snooty. I have cried everyday since after the first week of college. I am happy to say I am transferring next year. Although I have to sit through another semester of this horrible school. Although one plus side is the professors are great, they are very good and are always there to help you out. But besides that, this has been the worst experience of my life. If you are snobby, arrogant, cliquey, and judge someone the second you meet them, then suffolk is the place for you. | Collaboration/Competitive: A-, Campus Aesthetics: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | | I transferred here to Suffolk from a bigger school (over 20,000) so I got the "college experience" However, no one who went to Suffolk as a freshman got this experience. If you want to go out to the bars every weekend and spend hundreds of dollars, then go to Suffolk. Other than that, you don't get a campus community feel like other schools will get you and there are no raging house parties like bigger schools. The dorms may come off as nice, but they are AWFUL. Way too expensive (although you should know that since your in the heart of downtown boston.) I lived in 10 West, I went home for a weekend and came back to a nasty message from the head lady saying they found alcohol in my room. Pretty sure you need some permission to do that, but nope they just went into my room, went through my closets and everything. Although I was in the "wrong" I just simply felt disrespected. Academics are OKAY, the faculty are easily accessible. The classes are fairly easy, since going to another school I have something to compare to. I went to a much more prestigious school prior, so I wasn't expecting the same thing at Suffolk. It's easy to get into. You feel like your in high school, theres still smart kids but there's still dumb kids. The one thing I hate about Suffolk the most, academics wise, is constantly being compared to obviously the more prestigious schools in the Boston area. Suffolk is clearly the bottom of the barrel in terms of surrounding schools, and I have found that professors are constantly boasting about graduating from Northeastern, or Harvard, etc. | Campus Aesthetics: A, University Resource Use: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | Nice school. People really do seem to take out of this school what they put into it. If you aren't having a good time, you probably aren't trying. To those that don't like the lack of drinking, sorry Mommy and Daddy didn't cut the leash sooner so you could learn earlier. You can stay home and drink for free. Why spend $40,000 to do it? | Scholastic Success: A+, Extracurricular Activities: C | | | |
