Interesting school. Not the "prettiest" or "best" in Boston, but people certainly know about it and that's a good thing for the most part. Hard work and a legitimate interested in what I did really helped..... I often see students (at any college for that matter) talking about how much they don't like their major or school etc. The answer to this problem is simple. Go do something you do like. You're paying way too much money to do what your parents or friends like. Do it for yourself. I got into most of the areas Law Schools from out of here, so at the end of the day Suffolk did me well. Even if it isn't the most glamorous, you can still get an education and do well here.

Really, the experience is what you make of it. The cross section of students is significant. Some are wealthy, some have struggled working 3 and 4 jobs to make it work. My department and advisors are very good. I anjoy the classes.

I have been very unsatisfied with this school. I do my work an hour before each class and get A's on everything. If you pride yourself on your intelligence don't bother wasting your time, better of going to community college rather than paying the price of an elite education. Housing is nice to look at but everything is broken. I'm getting off campus as fast as I can because it is not even close to worth the $2000 a month. The Journalism program is a joke and I am switching to Applied Legal Studies. I figured out that paying $60,000 more towards a Journalism degree is not worth it when I half ass all my work and can probably write just as well as the faculty here. Seems to me like this place is more concerned with running a business and making a buck rather than being a quality educational institution. I see myself getting around a 3.6 GPA upon graduation with minimal effort. I am planning on attending a prestigious law school and this joke of a school won't be seeing a dime from me in alumni donations.
