 | Super Brilliant | I have been going to Tufts for a few years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. For the most part, people here are friendly. There are student cliques, but I believe that this happens at every school and Tufts shouldn't be deemed a bad school because of this. The professors and staff are wonderful, often very accessible and willing to help. At Tufts, the faculty actually make a point to know who you are, and not think of you as just another student or a number. The small class size is also ideal for learning. I have turned down many other "good" schools to go to Tufts and I have never regretted doing so. Tufts is a great middle-sized college filled with (mostly) great students and faculty. I have had a lot of fun and learned a lot the these past three years that I have been here. | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Education Quality: B+ | | | |

| | Quite Bright | This is a great school, but there are a lot of racial problems. Despite the fact that it is located in liberal MA, there is extreme self-segregation and there are a disporportionate number of conservatives in positions of power. The community is very polarized into uber-conservatives and uber-radicals. Campus safety is a non-issue if you're a white male--otherwise, expect some bigotry during your tenure here.Besides that, faculty are extremely friendly. This school is a great research institution, but is still student-centered. Students are vey vocal about their beliefs and it is a generally open campus about most issues. The support systems for people of color & LGBT people are decent--the staff really care, but you can tell that it's not the school's priority to help with the racial problems. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, University Resource Use: C+ | | | |

| | Quite Bright | I had a fantastic experience at Tufts. The quality of the education is superb. It just doesn't get any better. While friends of mine at other top schools were being taught by TA's, all of my classes were taught by the professors. Whenever I had an issue or needed help, the professors always went out of there way to make themselves available. On the social side, you have so many options. I spent a lot of time enjoying and exploring Boston, but there were always plenty of parties on campus. Coming out of school, I got my first job with the help of a Tufts Alum. I'd caution, however, that Tufts does not provide a lot of structure. The students who thrive at Tufts are those that like to make things happen. So my advice is that when you get to campus, get involved early and be active in one or two of the many student organizations and extracurricular activities that Tufts has to offer. Or, start your own. | Starting Job: Analyst, Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | |
