Take what you can from the University becausePolitical Science
Take what you can from the University because it can be tough if you're emotionally down. Take advantage of events and clubs on campus and expose yourself to wide range of experiences because being such a large university, you're bound to get lost, especially if you're in your 1st or 2nd year. If you're in a bad crowd, look for another. Your academic experience can be bad if your personal life is not going well. I spent all four years at UMASS and, although I couold have done better academically, I felt I didn't put in as much time into my studies as I could have. It's not an institution that coddles you, especially if you're lazy and professors can be pretty unforgiving if you don't work. Many students expect a lot from universities, particularly general guidance, but you'll have to find that on your own. At the undergraduate level, especially, this feature of the university will not be readily available.

My time at UMass has been one ofQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
My time at UMass has been one of the best experiences of my life! I have met so many wonderful people. I feel that anyone can "fit in" at this school. There are so many different activities, clubs, and types of people, you are bound to find someone with the same interests as you, no matter how obscure your interests! I am graduating in May and I feel very confident about getting a job, and feel all the experiences and classes UMass has provided for me will allow me to succedd in the "real world".

Question
I think many of the people who haveQuite BrightComputer Engineering
I think many of the people who have commented here on the school are simply whining. The same "whine/bitch about anything you think other people will listen to" mentality is fairly common around here. I recognize what most of the complaints from other reviews are stemming from, and I have to disagree... yes some of what they mention is true, but most of it has been such an insignificant part of my 3+ years hear that I think they are either missing out on what is offered here, or are just a bunch of whiners. Probably both.
