Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I do not recommend UMASS Dartmouth.BrightNursing
I do not recommend UMASS Dartmouth. Let me list some negative facts...
1. There is a lot of construction going on at the library, this should be done not during school hours because it is very disruptive. It should have been done in the summer, they closed off all the floors and one is available for studying and it is always full.

2. The apperance of the school is awful, it reminds me of prison, everywhere is cement, no flowers, ponds (bcc has a better campus).

3. The food is awful, my friends have gotten sick from the food, the only good place is the salad bar.

4. The college of nursing has a bad passing rate on the nclex, some teachers are not helpful, I feel everything is exams, there is not enough hands on learning. The one time we did have lab there are too many students not enough teachers so it does not facilitate learning and we were rushed out of there for another class coming in. Their cirriculum should be changed and new staff hired. I regret going to this nursing school.

5. There is not enough computer labs, not enough space.6. Bathrooms are old, need to be renovated, not sanitary. (don't drink from the bubbler, they found bacteria in the water one time).

When contesting a grade received from a unhelpful,Quite BrightEnglish
When contesting a grade received from a unhelpful, selfabsorbed professor ... the grade appeal officer actually decided this appeal on his own made-up scenarios that were not part of my appeal. Flabbergasted, I contacted the University provost and they did nothing, allowed the sham to continue and I ended up filing a complaint with the college's board and with other state offices, board of ed, etc., for example.

It only took one semester for me toBrightBiology
It only took one semester for me to see this school was awful. As someone who grew up in a college town, I can vouch that this school is seriously below par. I went here because it was cheap and other side of the state. Huge mistake. The freshman dorms are disgusting and the entire campus is covered in concrete resembling an M.C.Escher painting gone wrong. The food was decent but very unhealthy. It felt the campus is very dark, muddy, and puddle filled and plain scary to walk about at night. All hallways are winding and confusing. There were many incidents of dorm theft and stories of people being held at knife point. A friend and I were at the library late one night and felt very uncomfortable walking to our dorms on the other end of campus however the the on campus transportation did not come as scheduled. We then called public safety, who very rudely attempted to scold us and tell us that they were not a taxi service. There is no social life and almost everyone leaves on the weekend. Professors did not care at all, had no idea who i was despite coming to several office hours because classes were too big, and one barely even spoke english. If drugs are your main hobby and you like going to boring parties with people standing around one boring pong table this is the school for you. Otherwise, save your money. Go anywhere else!
