As a student from Ireland, college here inQuite BrightPolitical Science
As a student from Ireland, college here in the US could've been startling. But luckily, I found myself at a fantastic New England LAC and I have loved every minute. Yes, classes are challenging. And yes, Norton isn't the metropolis that many may crave, but any time spent studying at Wheaton College will make you a smarter and more rounded person. You will make connections that will last a life, and will benefit your career.

Question
After reading several of these comments about Wheaton,Quite BrightFine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
After reading several of these comments about Wheaton, I've realized that it's a common misconception that your college is supposed to do everything for you. You won't have a good social life unless you try, you won't get an internship unless you seek it out, you'll be bored if you don't get involved. I understand, Wheaton is a small school and that's certainly not for everybody. But to say that this college is a terrible place where you have no opportunities, I have to disagree. This school has forced me to work for what I want. No one's going to do it for you in the real world, so they train you to start now. If you don't know what you're doing, there's a wonderful support system on this campus to help you.

I don't have a perfect social life, I don't always know what I'm doing and I'm not always enjoying myself. But that's on me, that's not on Wheaton. College is what you make it and all of these sites create misguided information based on pissed off kids that got a D from a tough professor or maybe they didn't apply themselves in the right way.

Wheaton is not for everybody, but I feel challenged and happy here. If you take the time to figure out what makes you happy, Wheaton can be a great place for you. And yes, it's expensive. But I got great financial aid, and I know lots of other students that did as well. There's a lot more to know about this school beyond a few rich kids. The rest of us deserve to be recognized. This is a great community that should be shown in it's true colors: as a place that can be the greatest foundation for your future, but it's up to you to create it.

Question
I love Wheaton College.Quite BrightAnthropology
I love Wheaton College. Simply put it was the best decision I have ever made, here I am getting a great education and have made some amazing friends. My professors have all been fantastic and clearly love what they do, which is extreamly important for doing well in school. It is always easy to get in contact with professors and they are always willing to help. And what's more is that they always know your name! Then there are extracurriculars. There are so many things to do on campus, there are sports and clubs for any interest and if there isn't one you can always create it! Norton is not the most interesting place in the world but Wheaton does a great job of bringing people and events here. Whether it be famous movie directors, or famous authors, musicans, or just having cultural events there is almost always something to do. Wheaton College is truly an amazing school and without a doubt the best decision of my life.
