The school is a great school and I have really enjoyed my time here. I've had great professors that are very knowledgeable and met great friends. The only complaint that I have about this institution is about Public Safety (campus police). These men and women feel an overwhelming sense of entitlement and ticket for unecessary reasons. For example, one time I was driving the speed limit and public safety almost hit me...and then issued me a $25 ticket. I've tried to appeal multiple tickets, but NOBODY ever hears back. There are significant flaws in the Public Safety System and the officers are not cordial. This is the only downfall of this institution.

Good-Location. Faulty. Students
Bad-Tuition. Inability to get into parties unless you are a girl or a member of a sports team.WNEC is a great school in all departments. I am a psych student and I love my professors and the curriculum, because they are down to earth professors, challenge you, and want to see the best come from all of their students. It is easy to get homework done in the dorm during the week because kids are quiet for the most part.

This is my first year here. I have the mindset that in order to be a success in life you have to be well educated and you have to partake in a career that you enjoy, and you need a college education to do it. Out of my six main colleges to choose from I was accepted to five of them. I was accepted to Western New England College, U Mass Amherst, U Mass Dartmouth, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the University of rhode Island. However Western New England College and the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY were my top choices. However a better financial aid package and scholarship (bringing the $44k/yr cost down to %22k/yr or so) was what really made the difference. That, and the fact that the campus was more inviting and closer to home by about four hours. I've been working at the cafeteria of a private college for 3 years so I know what good food look like, and I can say that WNEC has decent food. Not the best per-say but better than what I've seen at other colleges. And lets be honest, who doesn't like an all you can eat buffet for every meal? My worry was that I'd gain weight, but nope, the college is great for exercise. Jogging/biking trails in the woods, indoor/outdoor tracks, 2 basketball courts, 4 racquetball courts, full pool and workout rooms, tennis courts as well as football, soccer, baseball and softball fields no matter what sport you do you're good. With the addition of a new pharmaceutical building there are all new science labs and classrooms to use. Teachers are great and always offering assistance, lots of activities to keep you busy on the weekends and pretty much a club for everything, you'll be busy.
