the armospshere of the campus is lame. people here are not good or normal people. the girls all have personality defects as do most of the guys. people here are antisocial and introverted or just weird.

I came in as a comp. sci. major and quickly decided that it wasn't my cup of tea. I switched into the management dept., which seems to be mediocre. I am transferring this fall to a better business school. With that said, the engineering program is top notch and while the computer science program is overrated, it is still good. Most of the professors I've had are very knowledgable and very friendly and willing to help, too.

The social life is miserable . The only saving grace is if you join a frat, but if that's not your thing you're quickly going to get frustrated. A lot of students here aren't friendly at all and few are proud to go here. Very clique-y. Most just gripe about the school. However, if you like magic cards, role playing games, and wearing capes (I'm not kidding), by all means go here. You'll fit right in.

WPI is not for everyone.. probably not perfect for me either. CS is the biggest major, so if you really love to code all day, it will probably feel like home. Otherwise you kind of feel out of place. Though I just switched out of CS.. so perhaps I'll feel better in my new major (MIS).One the plus side, extracurriculars are good (go dance team!), and you can find people to hang out with through them (best method by far). Worcester isnt too bad of a city and a train ride away from Boston. The projects approach is also innovative and exciting.
