I spent two semesters living on campus andBrightPsychology
I spent two semesters living on campus and am now transferring out because of how much I hate every aspect of this school. The food is absolutely terrible. Parties are all off campus which is an hour long walk downtown if you don't have a car. Security is ridiculous on campus, you can't get away with anything. There is nothing to do in the area or on campus. The school does not provide activities that are appropriate for my age group - rather they put on events that a 5 year old would attend. Also, I don't feel challenged by this school. The other students don't care about doing well or have a passion for what they're learning. I would not recommend this school at all and if I could go back in time I would not have even applied here.

This university is a scam.Super Brilliant
This university is a scam. If you're planning on commuting chances are you'll probably not going to get a parking space 4/5 days you go to school. You'll pay $100 to not get a spot in the commuter lot. The hypocrisy is when they let construction workers take all our spots, then ticket us for parking in the non commuter designated spots. And oh no they won't build a new lot, but they will spend and build a new science building. Meaning they're expecting more students yet don't plan to have space available for them.

Incoming students should know that in regards toBrightEnglish
Incoming students should know that in regards to housing, that department is one of the most incompetent I've seen. Transfer/1st year students get bottom of the barrel and when I transferred in, I didn't find out which room I was going to get (guaranteed housing) until two days before moving in. And this coming year, I likely won't even get housing because the department fails to mention the entirety of the process to get housing, and that if you pay past the deadline, you need to email the head of the department directly to be put into the pool for guaranteed housing, as if paying the $200 deposit wasn't serious enough. It's very confusing for those in their first year choosing housing. And often they completely disregard your preferences for roommates, as I got put in with three girls who had been friends previously, drank copiously and invited boyfriends to stay the night (things I didn't want to live with). So be warned when encountering the housing department.Otherwise, the faculty and campus are beautiful and friendly. The English/Education departments are filled with warm, friendly professors who will do WHATEVER they can to ensure you succeed. I recommend looking into Sigma Tau Delta, for those who want to be surrounded by literature-loving people who are education driven.
