Academics are good overall. There are quite a few very great professors at this school.
Administration = crap.
Campus Police will ignore the smell of pot coming directly from one room, but another room where someone laughs will get a knock on the door.

Campus looks nice for the most part, tends to be clean and well kept; except when some idiot breaks something or makes a mess.

Westfield to me seems like a "safe" school. If you're nervous about college and just want an easy way out of college than westfield is for you. With about 90% of the school in-state students, that means much of them go home on the weekends. This is extremely annoying if you want to get the full college experience.

The campus is very small but nice in the fall and spring. A walk anywhere on campus is less than 5 minutes, unless walking to the athletic center, football field or office building, that'll take u from 10-20 minutes. There are 5 dorms and 3 apartment building all are pretty nice but only reasonably upkept.

The students are pretty nice and friendly and you see them all around since its a small campus. Class size is about the same size as high school classes. Alcohol is easy to sneak onto campus due to security in the dorms only on duty 8pm and after. Partying in ur room is pretty easy as long as you keep down. There are off campus parties at apartments but u need a car which ur able to have if u make up a note from work saying you need it to drive to work.If you're looking for a real college experience, dont come here. If you want a suitcase college, be my guest.

Not so bright
If you are looking for the "college experience" here you will not find it. Most students get through this school under highly medicated conditions, ie...illegal drugs. The party/social scene is non-existent, very high school cliquey mentality of the students. The teachers and classes were ok but the social scene is a total joke. The campus security treats you like shit and definitely is a prison like atomosphere on campus as other posters have explained. I got kicked out of campus because my R.A. found 1 empty beer can in my trashcan at 1p.m. in the afternoon. They treat drinking beer as if you are a heroin addict junkie.
