Ghetto!High school Part 2!Not worth out of state bucks! Okay I'm an out of state student from Connecticut. Visiting Coppin state I really liked the school it was nice, they just had built new dorms, and the staff seemed to have a great sense of pride about their school so there was nothing to really complain about. However it was a completely different story once the semester started. The students are LOUD and GHETTO, the school is a nightmare and just plain DIRTY. I was looking for my HBCU experience to be great but It was down right disappointing. The Baltimore freshmen girls are boy crazy since most of them went to an all girl's highschool. Don't even get me started on the Baltimore accent and the way they dress. It was a nightmare at Coppin, even when I tried to get involved it didn't change the fact that I was at a broke down, ghetto high school part 2 in Baltimore, MD. I always liked the idea of a big university anyhow and this is definitely not the school to get that feel from. Yes classes are small so you can get more 1 on 1 help from the professor but 9x out of 10 your professor is foreign and you won't be able to understand. I am proud to say that I transferred after my first semester to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY! Best decision of my life top quality academics as well as athletics. Now that's a school I could brag about all day. OHIO STATE FOREVER....COPPIN? It would be best to bulldoze that "university" right now! Looking for a great HBCU experience try spelman or morehouse.

Quite Bright
Coppin Stat University's Honors Program has taught me more than I ever thought possible! While I was studying and working hard. my friends were getting easy homework as is they were still in High School! The Honors Program has great Deans to help you every step of the way. I would be no where without the guidance and support of the faculty and Members of the Honors Program. I thank everyone there for the experience and hope other benefit from the program that I have. You will create everlasting friendships from the people there for years to come. We are all still tight!

Super Brilliant
Coppin, like any college or university in the US, is what you make it. If you come in with low expectations, don't be surprised at where you end up. I had an excellent and fulfilling experience at Coppin! Eagle Pride!
