Coppin State University has been a blessing toEnglish
Coppin State University has been a blessing to me. I have never attended an academic institution that has a faculty of instructors that really care about their students. The professors genuinely want to see the students succeed and will do whatever they can to help that along. Also, they have a student funding assistance in place called "The One Step Away Program." This program offers financial assistance for students who are real close to completing their degree but don't have the finances to do so. And you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE MONEY BACK! This program was great blessing for me in that I was able to complete my degree in the end and didn't have to worry about the finances to do so. Those that have spoken negatively about Coppin, I'm sorry your experience wasn't a pleasant one but you must keep in mind that there no perfect colleges. Even the Ivy League universities have some hang ups. Coppin is still evolving after being under funded for so long. It has made great strides of improvement, so, give it time.

Seriously hate Coppin State.BrightNursing
Seriously hate Coppin State. I'm a second semester freshman nursing student and I seriously hate it here. It's so small; like a community college. The cafe (dining hall) sucks major. It's the same every single day. There's a section for pizza /pasta, one for burgers/fries/hot dogs, one for salad/veg/fruit. These sections stay exactly the same. The only thing that changes is this one section that has a real dinner option (beef and mashed potatoes for example). The salad bar is mediocre. There's hardly ever any fruit there and no real variety if there is (one fruit option, typically some type of melon). Overall the cafe sucks. Campus life sucks to. In the dorms, they try to make it fun with activities but the activities are really stupid and kind of pointless. It's just really boring in the dorms overall. The students are ghetto and there's always some kind of ghetto party going on off campus of course and not worth the trip. Education's decent, but just don't come here if you're not used to a 99.9% black ghetto school with crappy food and boring atmosphere. I'm legit when I say it's mostly black. The only white people (and non-black people in general) that come here are here to play a sport. The white kids who are here for sports typically only hangout with people in their sport, so they might as well not even go here. This is legit a school for ghetto black kids who couldn't get in anywhere else. I'm black and expected a little more diversity. They say every school is what you make it but you literally can't make this school good.

Coppin is a good school.Super BrilliantBusiness - Management and Administration
Coppin is a good school. I have many teachers who are PHDs. Teachers are smart and helpful. Classes are small so you really get to know students and faculty. Im glad i go to Coppin.
