This place literally just reminds me of highNot so bright
This place literally just reminds me of high school again. Weekends suck as there is nothing to do, athletes throw parties but you see the same people every time which is boring. Don't come here, academics are decent but don't have any special reputation. Professors are friendly, but that barely makes up for the crap this school really is.

Bottom line is Goucher isn't great at all.
Bottom line is Goucher isn't great at all. Quite frankly, it has no name. Sure some people will argue that, but do you really think Goucher is more known than other in-state schools like UMD, Hopkins, Towson, Loyola, etc? HELL no. You will get laughed at in job interviews, when you're competing against kids from these other schools. There's people who have lived in maryland their entire life and never even heard of goucher, and if they have they know it's a 'weirdo' school.

The only reason you should come here is if you're getting a good scholarship to come here. Other than that, don't bother. If you were at all normal and had a great social life in highschool, DO NOT COME HERE.

Imagine if every weirdo in highschool got together and made a college. This is what it would be. Everyday feels like a competition to be weirder than everyone else, honestly it's downright cringe.

I'd say maybe 20% of the people here are normal. Mostly comprised of athletes. The other few normal kids end up transferring out to state schools.

My final advice is this: If you come here and don't like it within your first 4-6 weeks, transfer out immediately.

Lots of people(the normal ones) transfer out.

The negative aspects outweigh the positives.Quite Bright
The negative aspects outweigh the positives. While there are a few good things about Goucher, it's honestly not as great as it may seem the tour-guides may show you. These are my thoughts after spending 1 year here.

1)Most professors are extremely friendly and willing to help.
2)Help is always there if you need it.
3)Classes are easy, put in effort and don't skip.
4)Surrounding area is great. Everything needed is within walking distance.
1) This is a small school. Parties suck
2) Too many liberals/democrats.
3) 90% of girls here are unattractive.
4) LGBT community is big here.
5) Known as a hippie school.
6) Too expensive.
7) No reputation academically or socially.
8) Nobody has heard of Goucher.
9) School spirit isn't big.
10) If you're not an athlete or a weirdo, you won't like it here.
Overall, just go to somewhere else that's cheaper and known/popular.
