| Quite Bright | HCC is a good community college, one of the best in fact. Campus is great, most professors are pretty good. It's great for academics and prepares you for transfer VERY well. Faculty tries to be as helpful as possible. But, HCC is not quite the social scene. People just go to their classes, and go home. You really don't meet a lot of people, which is disappointing. It is COMMUNITY college though after all. | University Resource Use: A+, Collaboration/Competitive: D | | | |

| Bright | Academically, I would highly recommend HCC. Make no mistake - it is not "thirteenth grade." While there are Professors who are almost a little too lax, most hold you up to pretty normal standards. You are treated like you are at any other college (save very challenging ones such as Yale.) However, if you are looking for a school with a sense of community, be warned that Harford is not that kind of college. The majority of the students there simply do not have the time or interest in making anyone at Harford part of their life. Go to Harford prepared to learn, not to socialize. | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Social Life: D | | | |

| Bright | Mr. Walters is an arrogant, self absorbed teacher who was vastly judgemental according to gender. However, his course helped me or the students that took his course to overcome fear of speaking in public. Besides that, the school as whole the college lives up to its potential but needs to work on some of its areas. For instance, learning/help centers at school are great!!!! Staff are the best if you ask for help, otherwise you are on your own. Caf and Library was pretty descent. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Extracurricular Activities: F | | | |

| Not so bright | The smoking ban forces people, students, staff, and faculty to smoke out on the public road where many drivers disregard the speed limit. The school is attempting to rehabilitate tobacco users, with their health in mind, by banning its use on campus; instead, people are smoking on a narrow shoulder lane at risk of becoming a traffic statistic. Is the purpose defeated? | Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |
