Mr. Walters is an arrogant, self absorbed teacher who was vastly judgemental according to gender. However, his course helped me or the students that took his course to overcome fear of speaking in public. Besides that, the school as whole the college lives up to its potential but needs to work on some of its areas. For instance, learning/help centers at school are great!!!! Staff are the best if you ask for help, otherwise you are on your own. Caf and Library was pretty descent.

Not so bright
The smoking ban forces people, students, staff, and faculty to smoke out on the public road where many drivers disregard the speed limit. The school is attempting to rehabilitate tobacco users, with their health in mind, by banning its use on campus; instead, people are smoking on a narrow shoulder lane at risk of becoming a traffic statistic. Is the purpose defeated?

Super Brilliant
This college is "ok" if you're straight out of high school and are unsure what you want. Most just live in Harford County, MD and have no choice but to attend, since the site is so far from any other university or community college, less they attend Essex, which I might add has made major improvements with their course offerings in the past year, which is why I'm hading there. Essex offers all the classes you'll need, cheaply, before hitting (e.i.) UMBC or the Univ of MD, which is a tad costlier. Quite frankly, I just learned that the latter two universities will be cheaper for me to attend. In other words, I just wasted a long drive for 1 1/2 years for nothing. The Student Advisors, at least the many I had were not as intelligent as my dog, and it's not that they don't follow thru - they just don't "do" at all. Each department plays the "blame game," meaning when nothing gets done for your properly, an advisor will moretimes then none respond with "they didn't.. blab blab blab" if you get my drift. And as a history major, they shoved BPR down my throat, and hid all they could from me till I figured it out on my own that the course IS NOT accredited, nor are any of the credits transferable to ANYWHERE that I've found, even our of state! Oh, and the party in charge of that department will steal everything you do, and turn each new semester student on to your work, off your websites, whatever... she encourages plagerism, but will smile nervously at you, just the same.

Overall Rating: Thumbs Down
Don't send your child here, less you're super laid back, and have money to throw away.

What I learned from the place: That I'm smarter then most faculty, and professors - most of which are snooty and arrogant. The 3 only good professors/instructors on this campus that I had was the Digital Art guy, the online English 101 professor (she get's an A+ from me,) and Dr. Karmel, the History Professor whom should be in a better place than this, as they don't deserve this professor.
