I graduated from Hood college with a degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. Unfortunately I am STILL unemployed and can not get a teaching position. I have over $20,000 in student loans and PLUS loans that I accrued while attending Hood. They are very interested in you when you initial attend the school but (this may be due to economic times) can provide little or no help with getting employment after school. I was on the DEAN'S LIST several semesters so I am not a slacker! I wish I didn't spend all my money on this school just so I could play on a sports team. In hindsight I think you need to look at the bang for your buck when evaluating a school. Will your first year salary be < than your school's tuition than you should reconsider attending that school.!

This school pushes these Freshman Seminar classes and honors classes that do not directly count toward degree credits! What a waste of money!!PARENTS BEWARE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

I feel this college just wants your money. I choose this college because everyone seemed so helpful and friendly when I had visited. However once enrolled that all changed. I can't understand my advisor and she has done a terrible job advising me. The dean told me I should just drop all my classes and transfer to save my GPA. There has been no direction or guidance from anyone here. I believe it's because I'm a commuter student and I'm just an average white male honestly! They just don't care. It's been a terrible learning experience and I wasted a lot of money. I am transferring out.

I attended Hood College from 1977 - 1981...when it was still an all womens' college and one of the greats. Faculty was the best, the dorms were in perfect condition and the women were bright and engaged. Don't know why everyone today is bored out of their skulls...we had great parties when I was a student there. And we definitely did not miss having men around! Hood College should never have gone coed...it destroyed the school.
