USNA was not worth the effort required to attend. It is less a school and more a test of staminia and endurance to mental and physical abuse. Though I survived and had a moderately successful career - command - I would no longer encourage young men to attend as the academy since it's values are distorted and even when valid are frankly no longer relevant in today's world.

Super Brilliant
If you are an intelligent person and want to succeed in life, go to another school. This school puts out a lot of propaganda. You are not allowed to develop as a person here, they only want to fit you into their mold for a military officer. I regret going here and wished that I accepted Cornell's admission offer instead everyday. I just transfer out of here and not I am going to MIT next semester no thanks to the Naval Academy.

The Naval Academy was a path to what I wanted to do. After graduation I flew fighters which had been a goal of mine since 7th grade. I now work with the airlines. It was a means to an end, there may have been other paths that may have led to the same place but they were not readily available to me. A good place to be from but was hell to go to!
