I honestly cannot see myself at any other college. Bates is an undergraduate campus, with great people and surprisingly top-notch academics. The only thing I would be wary of is the change in the atmosphere of the administration. Firstly, the president has resigned. Secondly, Bates has been more interested in publicity and recruitment than it ever has been. The students do not get much say in any of these matters: when a new building is to be built, the admin gets to choose where; when a department is changed or even removed, the community gets an email. Limited funds make TRUE diversity hard to attain. Lewiston is too underdeveloped in comparison to the institution. Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: B- Have a Question?
