The school, ironically, isn't that great at communicating to students tho. For a communication school it's sometimes laughable but overall I like the school and would recommend it. The Good: *The school offers amazing facilities for its communications programs, with equipment on lease so students are always using industry standard equipment that is fresh and current. *The majority of staff is always helpful, reachable and willing to put in extra time and effort (even at night, on the weekends and in some cases during holidays) to help students in need and keep every operation running smoothly. *Schools atmosphere is pleasant - the school is small enough where you really get to know your classmates and form bonds and close relationships with fellow students and staff alike. *NESCom is on the Husson campus and a short 5-10 minute drive from UMO so there are always plenty of activities to keep busy with. *Cost/Quality is outstanding... the quality of education & equipment for the price is outstanding and in my opinion the education is much much more hands on and real-life based than similar schools (for a fraction of the price). The Bad: *Because NESCom is a separate school from Husson students do not have the opportunity to participate if collegiate level sports (but do have the option for intramural). *Location, for many Bangor is like much of New England but students from larger areas should understand that they are coming to a smaller community for the quality of their education and not for crazy nightlife. However, the school is a short drive to many major areas (Portland ME, Boston MA, etc.) so students do have opportunities to attend concerts and other entertainment options.
