I love the atmosphere of debate that abounds in Andrews. Even though it is a Christian University many non-Christians attend and the faculty is sensitive to that. If anything, I've noticed that the non- or jaded Christians tend to not give the school a chance thinking that they will be treated badly because they are not "Christiany" enough.

The bad part of extracurricular activities is the clubs being a bit lazy about their activities. There is A LOT of opportunity to reach out to the local community and perform community service.I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants a place to learn where changing the world is emphasized without proselytization of their beliefs.

The Good: Great spiritual life, extremely safe small town, beautiful campus, great chemistry department and business department, vegetarian cafeteria, chicago is two hours away, faculty is approachable, people notice if they don't see you around, opportunities for interdepartmental interaction, highly international and diverse campus

The Bad: Too much snow, lousy girls dorm, not enough campus housing, $7 meals/not many food options, poor pre-professional advising, two traffic lights/two supermarkets, a few local restaurants Pizza Hut, Tacobell,Dairy Queen and McDonalds are pretty much your only in town options.

Important Advice: If you are Pre-med, Pre-Dent or any other pre-professional other than Pre-PT, go get yourself an outside mentor. It is easy to get involved and lead out. Take the opportunity from Day 1 of orientation to leave an impression.
Friendliness: A+, Surrounding City: C-

This college is not at all good if you are attending MS in software engineering. this is not a professional place and lot of importance is given to your religion (SDA). People are very narrow minded. I am doing well, but not because of this school
