Super Brilliant
I have never been so disappointed by an academic experience. I strongly, strongly discourage anyone from attending Baker College. There is no reason that anyone should ever pay to attend a single class at Baker. From day one I was disappointed with my experience at Baker. The Financial Aid department was sleazy, they encouraged me to borrow "a little more" than I needed. Even though I was able to calculate my exact book cost and tuition cost they told me that I may want the money later...

During several classes I was actually asked by the teacher(of course I use the title teacher because the instructors NOT required to hold master's degrees or higher in the programs they teach in...) to explain things for the class that they themselves didn't understand. Basically all they could do was recite what was in the book and whenever they were asked about something that was not actually written in the book they'd show they had little to no actual knowledge of the topic being discussed. Then later during a math class because the majority of the students failed the tests a "grading curve" was used so that most of the students who would otherwise have failed, passed. It was sickening.

The actual straw that broke the camel's back was when I was enrolled in a class and decided to drop it before the class ever began and then come to find out at the end of the semester I am being charged for a class I NEVER ATTENDED. Apparently filling out the correct forms is not enough if you don't receive a receipt. WTF?

So trust me, do yourself and your career a big favor, because personally I will never hire someone with Baker College on their resume. In the immortal words or Baker College themselves, "You'll do better with" Oakland University or Oakland Community College. At least if you transfer out of those colleges you'll be able to transfer your credits, unlike myself when i transferred from one Computer Science(Baker) program to another i was only able transfer 3 out of 32 credits. So good luck and stay far far away from Baker College.
