I am not challenged at all by the coursework and find myself completely uninterested by it. I have had major problems receiving my financial aid every semester I have been enrolled, and the University employees in charge don't care one bit that their students are waiting months for their refund checks. They apparently don't care that they are completely incompetent. I have experienced a few great profs, but it is a rareity here. I would not reccomment this school to anyone. FAculty is totally unavailable and unwilling to help. Students here go home every weekend. I think my roommate stayed up here one weekend the entire year. tLhere is absolutely nothing to do here. Lack of diversity here too. Teh schools is filled with students who werent smart enough to get into better universities. Very unfriendly students, ugly campus, horrible professors, unchallenging cousework, freezing cold winter weather, horrible parking!!, are some of the main reasons to NOT consider CMU. Hopefully some of you reading this that are considering choosing CMU will look at the negative reviews on this site and choose to do some research before you attend...visit CMU for a weekend then decided if you still want to come i wish I would have! The campus life here is also horrible. How many people really want to attend a college where we are bribed to go to the football games. When a university has to give out free rent and cars to get students to go to the games you know its bad. This university is just filled with uninteresting people nothing exicitng ever happens here.
