I wanted to rate this university as afterAug 27 2014Business - Management and Administration
I wanted to rate this university as after completing research, it seemed like a good university for me to pursue a graduate degree. After dealing with the snobby and arrogant admissions department, I ended up pursuing my graduate studies somewhere else. I submitted an application, but realized that I would not be able to afford the $50 application fee. I requested an application fee waiver, and admissions made it seem like I was asking for the entire world. I felt like they were looking down on me because I could not afford the application fee. They asked me to submit a hardship waiver and 2-page essay explaining my financial hardship. After doing so, I also submitted my transcript and FAFSA. Nothing was done with my application materials. I meant the gpa requirements so I have no clue as to what was going on. I received no correspondence whatsoever. Days and days had gone by, and I received nothing from them. Thank you for wasting my time as well as my money used to send an electronic official transcript. I guess it just wasn't meant for me to attend CMU. With their arrogance, why would I want to?

Overall I am pleased, particularly with the academic program I am involved in. The classes are interesting, students seem engaged, and faculty are very friendly and enthusiastic. I am also very pleased with the high level of service offered by staff and faculty. They are always helpful and have demonstrated many times a willingness go out of the way to address any issues I have and ensure my satisfaction.
